The Registrar, Mrs. Emelia Agyei-Mensah, has paid an official visit to student athletes and officials representing the University at the ongoing 27^th Ghana Universities Sports Association (GUSA) Games being hosted by the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

The University of Ghana has ended preparations for the 27^th Ghana Universities Sports Association (GUSA) Games scheduled for 4^th to 19^th November, 2022 at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi.

The University of Ghana Male Basketball Team secured automatic promotion to the Division One of the 2023 Accra Basketball League (ABL) after defeating Tusk of Adenta 2 out of 3 in the best of three semifinal of the Division Two Accra Basketball League.

The Management and staff of the Sports Directorate have interacted with student athletes of the University of Ghana invited to camp ahead of the 27^th Ghana Universities Sports Association (GUSA) Games to be hosted by the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) from 4^th to 19^th November, 2022.

The University of Ghana has drawn the curtains on the 8^th Ghana Universities Debate Championship after an eventful seven days of exhilarating debate among students from nine tertiary institutions across the country. The 8^th edition, dubbed Wɔgbɛ jɛkɛ 2022 saw Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology crowned champions of the Open Debate, while the University of Ghana claimed the Public Speaking Trophy.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Nana Aba Appiah Amfo, has opened the 8^th Ghana Universities Debate Championship (GUDC) at the Great Hall of the University of Ghana (UG).

The University of Ghana Sports Directorate will commence camping of student athletes on 13^th October, 2022 ahead of the 27^th Ghana Universities Sports Associations (GUSA) Games scheduled from 4^th to 19^th November, 2022 to be hosted by the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi.

The Ministry of Youth and Sports has donated twenty (20) footballs to the University of Ghana Sports Directorate as part of its support towards the University for the 27^th Ghana Universities Sports Association (GUSA) Games to be hosted by the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) from 4^th to 19^th November, 2022.

The reigning champions of the 7^th Ghana Universities Debate Championship, the University of Ghana Debate Society has been crowned champions of the United Nations Population Fund's (UNFPA) 'The Big Debate.' The programme, held at the R.S. Amegashie Hall of the University of Ghana Business School, formed part of UNFPA’s Family Planning Week Youth Summit to commemorate the World International Contraception Day, which falls on the 26^th day of September every year.
