Team UG Starts Camping Ahead of GUSA Games at KNUST
The Management and staff of the Sports Directorate have interacted with student athletes of the University of Ghana invited to camp ahead of the 27th Ghana Universities Sports Association (GUSA) Games to be hosted by the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) from 4th to 19th November, 2022.
Welcoming the student athletes, the Director of Sports, Dr. Bella Bello Bitugu, thanked them for availing themselves to represent the University at the Games. He emphasised the importance of focusing on training and heeding to instructions of the coaches. Dr. Bitugu admonished them to be discipline while in camp and eschew all forms of practices that will hinder their preparations before the Games. ‘We have absolute believe in you to make UG proud and bring the medals home. We encourage all and sundry to follow the channels of communication’ he stated.

The Dean of Student Affairs, Professor Rosina Kyeremateng, encouraged the athletes to be disciplined and self-control should be their hallmark. Professor Kyeremateng reminded them the investment by the University in sports in UG shows the importance the University attaches to sports. The Dean of Student Affairs encouraged the athletes to go all out and make UG proud as we celebrate 75 years of existence as a university.
