UNIVERSITY OF GHANA SPORTS ADVISORY BOARD
It is the highest decision making body of the Sports Directorate headed by the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Academic and Student Affairs, ASA) of the University of Ghana. Its membership is drawn from various sectors and is of people with rich experience in the area of academia, sports and administration. The advisory board is mandated to provide support and regulate programs and activities of the Directorate.
The remit of the Advisory Board is:
- To formulate policies towards realization of the University’s strategic plans regarding sports in all its dimensions: recreational, health, competitive and academics:
- To advise on the integration of Sports as an academic discipline within the Course Credit Systems
- To consider ways in which the Sports Directorate can be strengthened and enabled to effectively serve the recreational, health, competitive and academic needs of the University in particular and the external public in general
- To advise on the development and optimal use of prevailing sports infrastructure with a view of maintaining them at international levels.
