University of Ghana to Make Eighth Appearance at 2022 PAUDC
The University of Ghana Debate Society will make its eighth appearance at the 2022 Pan African Universities Debate Championship to be hosted by the Strathmore University, Nairobi, Kenya from 8th to 15th December, 2022.
Miss. Wesoamo Zempare, 2020 Virtual PAUDC Public Speaking Champion
The University of Ghana will be represented by Mr. Elisha Owusu Akyaw, 2021 Ghana Universities Debate Championship champion hosted by the University of Energy and Natural Resources, Sunyani and Miss. Wesoamo Zempare, 2020 Virtual Pan African Universities Debate Championship Public Speaking champion hosted by Makerere University, Uganda and Royal Rhetorics, Nigeria. The students will be accompanied by Mr. Lawrence Nii Kotey Neequaye, Debate Coach.
Mr. Elisha Owusu Akyaw, 2021 GUDC Champion
The 2022 edition dubbed “Mashujaa” in Swahili and translated as “Heroes” will host over 300 to 500 university students, public speakers, judges, university representatives and observers from all major higher learning institutions on the African Continent. This year’s championship apart from the debate and public speaking categories, will entail quiz challenges, panel discussions with industry leaders on different social issues, hackathons and exhibition fairs.
They will depart Accra on 7th December, 2022. The University wishes them the very best in the championship.
