UNION CLUB SUPPORTS UG SPORTS
The University of Ghana Sports Directorate has received financial support of Two Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH¢2,000.00) from Union Club.
This money was towards the organization of 2020 GUSA Games.

UG DEBATE SOCIETY TO MAKE GHANA PROUD AT PAUDC 2019
The University of Ghana Debate Society is ready to fly the flag of Ghana high as it makes its 6th appearance at the Pan African Universities Debate Championship (PAUDC) scheduled for 8th to 16th December, 2019 at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi.

UG DREAMS GOLD AHEAD OF GUSA CROSS COUNTRY
The University of Ghana Cross Country Team will participate in the 24th Ghana Universities Sports Association (GUSA) Cross Country Competition at the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR), Sunyani from 31st October to 3rd November, 2019.
Preparation
All twenty athletes (both male and female) representing University of Ghana (UG) were selected based on merit during the 2019/2020 Inter-Hall Cross Country Competition. The athletes have since been in a non-residential camping.
UG ATHLETE WINS GOLD AT 2019 AFRICAN GAMES
University of Ghana’s Benjamin Kwaku Azamati won Gold in the 4x100 meters at the just ended African Games in Rabat, Morocco.
Benjamin Azamati, a level 300 student reading Bachelor of Science in Marine Science is the only local based athlete among the quartet which clinched the Gold medal.
Mr Azamati is in top form and is arguably the fastest human in Ghana at the moment. He represented Ghana at the ECOWAS Games in Niger and at the World Universities Games in Napoli, Italy both in July.

UG ATHLETE TO REPRESENT GHANA AT AFRICAN GAMES
University of Ghana’s 100 meters sensation Benjamin Kwaku Azamati will represent Ghana in the 100 and 4x100 meters in the African Games in Rabat, Morocco scheduled for 16th August to 3rd September, 2019.
Benjamin Azamati currently a level 300 student reading Bachelor of Science in Marine Science has represented the University and Ghana in a number of competitions the recent one being the World Universities Games in Napoli, Italy.

2020 GUSA GAMES LOC INTERACTS WITH GUSA EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
The Local Organizing Committee (LOC) for the 2020 Ghana Universities Sports Association (GUSA) Games dubbed LEGON 2020 held a successful interaction with the Executive Committee of GUSA ahead of the Games in January 2020.
The objective of the meeting between the LOC and GUSA, was for the former to report on progress of work pertaining to the organization and infrastructure for the Games and also for GUSA to clarify issues and points for the LOC to help smooth coordination of work.

The Debate Society of University of Ghana won two Gold, two silver and a Bronze medal at the just ended 6th edition of the Ghana Universities Debate Championship (GUDC) hosted by All Nations University College, Koforidua which took place from the 18th to 27th July, 2019.
